Suffolk Showcase is the first open submission exhibition at Bury St Edmunds Art Gallery and is being run in association with Bury St Edmunds Art Society. All artists and makers from Bury St Edmunds, and within Suffolk, were invited to submit work for this exhibition. Diverse and vibrant, the selection of work displayed here shows the exciting and continuing developments within art, craft and design in a County which has inspired artists for many centuries.

With high quality work from both established artists and newcomers, the exhibition features a wide range of traditional and new media; painting and ceramics sit alongside photography and video in an eclectic summary of Suffolk’s current artistic climate.

The works showcased in this year’s exhibition have been selected by a panel of distinguished judges including acclaimed artist Roger Ackling, Suffolk County Council Arts Officer Jayne Knight, and Bury St Edmunds Art Society Chairman Martin O’Shea
