Seasonal Splendour: Contemporary Craft for Christmas

Saturday 8 November to Thursday 24 December

Extended Opening Hours:
Monday to Saturday, 10.00 am to 5.30 pm
Sunday, 11.00 am to 4.00 pm
Christmas Eve, 10.00 am to 1.00 pm

A selling exhibition of high quality contemporary craft.  This show presents beautiful works, with an emphasis on makers from the East of England.  It fosters appreciation of the work and encourages new and existing collectors to buy, giving the makers vital support.  The wide range of work includes jewellery, ceramics, glass, silver, textile and furniture for sale.

Special exhibits for 2008 include the work of two artists who are very influenced by landscape: local artist Jo Budd’s textiles and, from the Yorkshire Dales, Helene Shovlar’s silver jewellery.  Also featured are the charming porcelain dogs of Christine Hoare.

During the exhibition a selection of gifts can be purchased to take away that same day, including prints and special Christmas-themed handcrafted items.

A luxury gift wrapping service is available with a great choice of wrapping papers.

New in 2008, admission to Seasonal Splendour  will be free of charge throughout.
