THE 62 GROUP OF TEXTILE ARTISTS LAUNCHED IT’S FORTIETH ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION AT THE GALLERY BEFORE IT WENT ON TOUR NATIONALLY
The Group was established in 1962 to provide opportunities for its members to exhibit, to raise awareness and debate, and extend the boundaries of contemporary textile practice.
Over the last forty years the Group has established an international reputation for the quality of the members’ work with exhibitions across Britain and abroad. The work in Red was very varied and provided a vibrant and lush experience of colour and texture.
