The much anticipated Suffolk Craft Society Christmas exhibition will be an absolute cracker this year, with new members and fresh display, and eye-catching contemporary design combined with excellent craft skills.

14 September - 30 October 2004
The third major exhibition in the arttextiles series brings together an exciting mix of techniques and materials that speaks of the every-day importance, the worldwide relevance and history of textiles.

The artists employ traditional textile media, photography, video and digital technology. Whilst most of the work hangs within the Gallery, several artists` work spills out of the space itself to involve Gallery staff and incorporate the architectural surroundings.

31 July - 4 September
Zoomorphic looks at the emerging trend towards buildings that emulate nature, showing leading contemporary architecture inspired by animal forms.

Rangoli is an ancient Indian tradition, a temporary spiritual decoration to welcome visitors and celebrate special occasions.

Artists using flowers, paper, photography, drawing and painting will turn the Gallery into a series of inviting, beautiful and meditative landscapes and environments that will encourage us to think about our own private and public habitats.

27 March – 1 May
Visual Rhythms will intrigue, puzzle and fascinate. The exhibition includes painting, drawing and sculpture, which takes its form, or inspiration, from mathematical rules and law.

The Auction will take place at The Athenaeum, Angel Hill,
Bury St Edmunds, on Saturday 13 March, from 6pm.

Dale Devereux Barker will be Artist in Residence during the Derrick Greaves exhibition. Dale will be running workshops for adults and children.

Since the age of five Derrick Greaves has spent many hours drawing, as a young man he trained as an apprentice sign writer, and then went on to study painting at the Royal College of Art.
