A CELEBRATION OF EAST OF ENGLAND’S NEWEST CREATIVE TALENT

Platform, the annual survey exhibition of selected regional art and design graduates, presents some of the East of England’ brightest new creative talent. This year’s exhibition introduces the work of 26 artists, selected from final degree shows at universities in the region and through a national advertising campaign. The exhibition, now in its seventh year, shows a variety of works of quality and distinction situated within the fields of fine art, craft and design.

The exhibition can also be seen at the Margaret Harvey Gallery, part of the University of Hertfordshire Galleries, between 14 June and 28 July 2007.

Platform is part of Escalator, a region-wide initiative developed by Arts Council England, East in partnership with regional arts organisations, which aims to support new talent in the eastern region across a broad range of visual, media and performing arts. The selectors for Platform 7 were Alison McFarlane (Platform Director), Alison Plumridge (Director of Bury St Edmunds Art Gallery) and representatives from arts organisations from across the eastern region.
