Jane is one of the most eminent jewellery makers in this country. Her work is striking, wearable and collectable and is already well known amongst visitors to the Gallery Shop.
Adam has carried out extensive research over the last eighteen years into colouring and working with her primary material, anodised aluminium.
Visitors to the exhibition were able to see major one-off pieces of jewellery and larger pieces such as vessels and bowls covering the last eighteen years of Adams career. Panels also detailed the development of ideas with preliminary designs and test pieces which gave the viewer a sense of the processes involved.
Jane Adam was a Ruthin Craft Centre Touring Exhibition with support from the School of Jewellery, Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, University of Central England.
