A touring exhibition from the Devon Guild of Craftsmen.

The exhibition Elemental Insight was initiated by the Met Office as part of an arts commissioning programme to address concerns and explore ideas about the weather and our natural environment.  In partnership with the Devon guild of Craftsmen, the Met Office is encouraging and facilitating a productive dialogue between science and art.

Featuring work by 27 artists drawn from across the South West of England, the exhibition attends to cultural, philosophical and spiritual aspects of weather, climate and atmosphere.  The weather provides a rich subject with which to work.  High profile political issues such as climate change, environmental pollution and waste recycling are addressed here alongside deeply personal responses to the weather.
