24 September – 24 October
Drawn Together is both an exhibition and an open invitation for everyone to come and have a go at drawing. Drawings don’t have to be works of art, they also help us to see, understand and enjoy the world around us.

The exhibition is part of Drawing Power - a national initiative by The Campaign for Drawing which was started in 2000 with the simple but ambitious aim of getting everyone drawing. Patrons of the Campaign include Quentin Blake, David Hockney and Gerald Scarfe.

Highlighting the multiform ways that drawing can be used to express emotion and convey information, Drawn Together will include work by artists Mary Griffiths, Emma Johnson, Jonathan Keep, Sally Morfill, Hephzibah Rendle-Short, Chloë Steele, Barbara Symmons and Andrew Vass. The exhibition will also showcase drawings from The Arts Council Collection - including work by David Hockney, Michael Kenny, Bob Law, Henry Moore and David Nash - something to inspire everyone.

Following on from Mind over Matter (spring 2002) Drawn Together will seek to actively involve children and adults with learning difficulties in the exhibition and related activities. Please call the Gallery for more information.
